Samsung Galaxy Core Lite launched, a Budget LTE Phone

While many of us are aware of Philippines having a poor Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity, the coverage is continuously expanding. It is a wise move to buy LTE-ready phones even for budget-conscious people, and what might be our future pick would be the Samsung Galaxy Core Lite.

Announced in Taiwan, the Samsung Galaxy Core Lite is an entry-level phone offering LTE connectivity, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM and 4.7-inch display with a 480x800 resolution. It runs on Android 4.3 out of the box which may be a deal breaker for some.

The Galaxy Core Lite also packs 5MP rear camera, 8GB of internal memory expandable via microSDcard, 2000mAh battery, and NFC, specs that we commonly see phones targeted for people with tight budget. With its price around $266 (~P11,600), many brand-conscious people would pin this. Some notable local competitors would be the Cherry mobile w900 and Lumia 625 with lower price tags but also lower spec'd.
No words still if this phone would be available other than Taiwan.
