Globe Telecom intensifies campaign against text spams and scams

Tired of frequent receiving of unsolicited messages saying "kumusta na kayo dyan, eto bago roaming # ko.." or "your number have won?" It's very annoying specially if you are waiting for important sms or messages from your loved one, isn't it?

Although we can't eradicate these kind of messages at the moment completely, we can do something to fight and help others. Many of us are aware already, but there are still some that might fall in the trap specially if they match in the situations made up by the bad guys.

In Lieu of this, one of the biggest telecommunications company in the country, Globe, has strengthen its campaign for helping reduce the spam messages that pop like mushrooms in our inbox. We can report spammers or scammers easily with the webpage above. Just go to http://www.globe.com.ph/stopspam and fill in the fields. There are also other channels to go to like Talk2Globe Chat (http://chat.globe.com.ph) and by tweeting @Talk2GLOBE on twitter.

We can also block those numbers in our smartphones settings or do some geeky filtering. Hopefully, many will respond to this call to help and make each other's inbox spam-free.
