The Galaxy Note Series is prominent for its unique feature like the S-Pen for taking your notes and a top-notch hardware for demanding and heavy users. In this fourth generation of note, the display stayed in its comfort zone at 5.7 inches. The Galaxy Note 4 has still one of the most gorgeous screen in the market with its Quad-HD (2560x1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display.

The Galaxy Note Edge on the other hand has slight difference from the Note 4. It has an extra 160 x 1440 pixels curved screen on its right. This display on the edge is a remarkable innovation providing added functionality and ease of use. It is like an extra notification bar on the side which gives you the shortcuts to favorite apps and notifications even if you're playing a whole-screen game or watching a video.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Now Official

Samsung has just unveiled their new metal-clad smartphone named as Galaxy Alpha. It features a fresh elegant design with the same premium taste as the current Galaxy flagships around.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Specs, Galaxy Alpha Features

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha boasts a shiny metal frame and a slim body. If you're taking a look at a distance, it looks like the S5, but zooming in on the sides will show you an intricate design with its eye-catching combination of soft matte and shiny metal parts. At 6.7mm thickness, it brags the slimmest Galaxy device title at this time.

The Alpha feats a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720 pixels) Super AMOLED Display. At that size, it may battle the upcoming Xperia Z3 Compact and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 on the leaks. Its performance is still premium with an Exynos 5 Octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. The storage is not expandable but at an acceptable capacity of 32GB.

The main camera is at 12MP and 2.1MP for the front one. It's battery might be small at 1,860mAh. Its feature set is just like what the Galaxy flagships mostly offer including Ultra-Power saving mode, finger print scanner, S Health, heart-rate sensor, download booster, etc. The Galaxy Alpha will be available in September at 150 countries; we don't know yet whether Philippines will be included in that list. It will come in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver, and Scuba Blue. The price may be steep at $690 or around P30,300 direct conversion.
