Xiaomi announces its cheap powerful gaming tablet: The Xiaomi Mi Pad!

After releasing a couple of powerful Android phones, Xiaomi just unveiled a tablet beast in a new level.

It is powered by a Tegra K1 mobile processor: 4-Plus-1 Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A15 clocked at 2.2GHz plus a 192-core super chip featuring the NVIDIA Kepler architecture! How cool is that? It even exceeds the performance of Apple's A7 chip according to Xiaomi.

The Mi Pad comes with a 7.9" display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels at 326 ppi. That's on par with the iPad mini with Retina Display. And just like our smartphones, this tablet can take photos of high quality even in low-light. It has 5Mp on the front for your trending selfies and 8Mp on the back. Surprisingly, both are at F2.0 aperture.

This great tablet is powered by a 6700mah battery that claims a 1300 stand-by hours, 86h music or 11 hours of video watching. That's rightful enough for us to enjoy our moment with this device. For your multi-tasking needs, it has 2GB RAM onboard. There is 16 or 64 GB built-in storage and expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Mi Pad is currently on WiFi only and Bluetooth 4.0.

There's no announced date on its availability but I assume many of us will be wishing for its presence on our shores soon. It is priced in China at 1499 Yuan or Php 10,502.41 (in direct conversion only).
