Asus has announced a new affordable 7-inch android tablet with full telephony functionality available now in the Philippines.
The ASUS fonepad 7 FE170CG is a cheaper/newer version of the fonepad 7 ME175cg. This version is thinner, lighter and offers more color variants to choose from. The screen also differs wherein the ME175cg has a 1280x800 pixels while the FE170cg has 1024x600. For their internal storage, the former has 8Gb while the latter has 4Gb but both are expandable via microSD card.
One other difference of the FE170cg to the ME175cg is the camera. The main camera has now 2Mp only with the latter's 5Mp camera, while the front has a VGA camera against the 1.2Mp of its bigger brother. This might be a deal breaker for selfie people out there as the front cam has a distinguishable difference in real life.
Powering them are the 1.2Ghz Intel Atom dual core processor with 1Gb of RAM. But due to hyper threading technology, they act also as quad-core. Check the other specs below:
