Calaguas Island Trip Part II: Trekking at the Hills

In my first post on our visit to the marvelous Island of Calaguas, one of the activites we did was to trek at the hills. So here it is, take a look at the pictures overlooking the beaches. I also included some interesting pics I did not put on my former post.

Calaguas Islands Hills

There are no signboards inviting visitors to try trekking in the hills of Calaguas, so if you did not research before going to the island, there's a chance of missing this activity. There is no fee in going up to the hills. Before indulging ourselves to the beach, this is what we did first.

First thing to do is ask directions on where to start trekking. Although you can be adventurous by searching for the way by yourself.

We asked a local boy about the way and without hesitation, he guided us. It was a great exercise before swimming indeed, climbing, walking and jumping under the sun. The climb was around 30 minutes with some rest included. The overlooking view of the picturesque island helped us to ease our fatigue.

When we reached the safe high spot on the hill, we felt the view and took pictures right away. You can see the beach with its sparkling white sands from afar, and of course, the bluish-green sea.

Our guide took also some rest under a tree. You can see the local community at the left side of the photo. After having fun and grazing on the hill, we went back to the shore and searched immediately for refreshment. We found a halo-halo store and ordered. (P30 each) Since the boy who guided us seemed shy of receiving our tip, we treated him one as our thanks and he bode also his gratitude also to us.

As part of this post, I would also like to share the photos taken at the left side of the island on the rocky part. Another great spot to took your group or selfie pics.

There's a rock that took my attention for its catchy formation. I called it "froggie". You saw it too??
