MediaTek is already a familiar word to many of us as it is commonly seen on the spec sheets of local smartphone brands like Starmobile, Cherry Mobile, MyPhone, Cloudfone, etc. It is adapted often in low to mid-range price group smartphones for its high affordability and acceptable performance. With its continuing research and development, they manage to engineer and build new chipsets that can battle other popular and more expensive SOC’s.
In their latest announcement, Mediatek has unveiled their latest System-On-Chip, the MT6795. It is a 64-bit with eight cores that is now par with flagship standards with LTE capability, supports 2k resolution display, 120Hz, 480 fps Full HD record or play Slow-Motion videos.
The new chip's speed goes up to 2.2GHz and each of the cores work hand-in-hand simultaneously unleashing its full potential with the help of MediaTek's CorePilot technology. We are hoping to set sight on new smartphones powered with MT6795 later this year.
