Redmi Note 4G/LTE Official: Snapdragon, Lighter, Same Affordable Price

Xiaomi has unveiled another spotlight-worthy smartphone that comes with a Snapdragon processor, LTE connectivity, and other very capable hardware with the same price tag of just above ~P7,000.

So what are the main difference between the newer version versus the previous one? The 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor is swapped with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Maybe not really faster but some prefer the Snapdragon SoC. Furthermore, the LTE version is 10 grams lighter and the microSD card can now handle 64GB ones. Also, the extra sim slot is removed making it a single-sim only. The MIUI v5 ROM is upgraded at Android Kitkat 4.4.

The display is retained at a phablet size of 5.5 inches IPS HD (1280x720 pixels), 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal phone storage. The battery is also the same at a notable capacity of 3100mAh. With some appealing changes made on the Redmi Note 4G/LTE variant, the price is kept affordable at 999yuan or around P7,000 when directly converted to our currency. The 3G Redmi Note has not reached Philippines yet but we do hope that Xiaomi release these phones on our country soon.
